Inclusive Smart Society PBL (2024)②

In the ISS-PBL course, I had a valuable experience working in a group with students from Ohio State University to propose a startup business.

Since the entire course was conducted in English and it was my first time collaborating with international students, I initially felt anxious.

However, it turned out to be a stimulating and enriching experience.

What impressed me the most was the diverse perspectives of American and international students.

They proposed innovative ideas that would rarely come up in discussions among Japanese students, leading to lively and engaging discussions.

I was particularly surprised by how many students focused on immigration issues.

While immigration is not a common topic in Japan, it is an everyday concern for them, which was reflected in their business ideas.

Through this course, I gained new perspectives and realized the need to further improve my English and presentation skills.

Moving forward, I want to actively participate in international settings and gain exposure to a wider range of viewpoints.
