I studied abroad for a month and a half at the Ohio State University (OSU) as part of a class called “Space Development Engineering Exercise 2024” during the summer of my freshman year at the University of Tsukuba. When I arrived at OSU, the first thing I felt was, “How wonderful the university environment is !!!!” There are numerous beautiful facilities with more than enough study spaces and rental conference rooms inside, and lots of students were studying diligently every day in the sophisticated environment. I took classes on space regulations and actual spacecraft development in such beautiful buildings. It was a very stimulating experience to be able to take classes in such a wonderful environment with high-level students at OSU. In addition to the study facilities, there are many other nice facilities (places), and two things especially impressed me. The first is that there are many sports facilities, including RPAC and ARC, where students can enjoy strength training, basketball, swimming, and rock climbing on campus. I was very envious of the flow of students’ daily schedules, taking classes and then refreshing themselves with physical activity after classes. The second is that there is a university-owned airport. It seems to be used for Cessna practice and private jet takeoffs and landings, and I was very impressed to see students around the same age taking off into the sky. This trip made me love OSU. I hope to visit again if I have the chance. Go Buckeyes!!
