At the Tsukuba Conference 2025, I presented alongside group members from the 2024 Inclusive Smart Society PBL course, building on ideas developed during our final class presentation.
This was my first oral presentation at an academic conference and giving the talk in English made me extremely nervous.
Nevertheless, the discussion with the commentators proved to be a highly valuable experience.
As a medical student, I had never previously considered business perspectives.
However, I came to realize that elements such as target setting, needs assessment, and competitor analysis share commonalities with hypothesis formulation and verification processes in medical research.
Collaborating with students from diverse academic backgrounds also generated a wealth of ideas beyond my usual perspective, which I found highly stimulating.
In preparation for the conference, we received feedback from Tsukuba City officials and professors at the University of Tsukuba.
Through repeated discussions within our team, we were able to refine our business model beyond what we had presented at the PBL session.
On the day of the conference, we also benefited from insightful feedback from entrepreneurs, which helped us identify future challenges.
This experience was an invaluable learning opportunity for me.
Moving forward, I hope to apply the diverse perspectives I gained to addressing societal challenges.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who provide us with valuable guidance and support throughout the process.
