Osaka Expo 2025

This year, I really wanted to visit Expo 2025, held in Osaka, but I had no clear reason to go. Thanks to the ISS program, I was given the opportunity not only to participate but also to present our research, for which I am truly grateful.
In our talk session, we showcased the results of several years of work in the field of Kansei Design. We presented two projects: one that visualizes heart rate to better understand ourselves and others, and the other that lights up the environment by hugging a doll. Through these projects, we aimed to demonstrate how design can contribute to a more inclusive smart society.
As a student of Environmental Design, I was also deeply inspired by the pavilions and architecture that expressed the culture of each country. Although the summer heat was intense, the experience itself became an unforgettable memory. For those who have not yet visited the Expo, I hope this article can be the trigger for you to go.
