ISS meets JV-Campus

The ISS Program offers three courses: Introduction to Inclusive Smart Society I, Introduction to Inclusive Smart Society II, and Inclusive Smart Society PBL.
These courses are taught together by University of Tsukuba and The Ohio State University.
Even though there are challenges such as distance and time differences, students from both universities can study together through the Japan Virtual Campus (JV-Campus).
JV-Campus is an online learning platform created by Japanese universities working together.
Its goal is to support the internationalization of Japanese higher education and to attract more international students.

The ISS Program’s use of JV-Campus was featured in an interview by the JV-Campus Office at University of Tsukuba.
In the interview, Program Leader Professor Takashi Matsushima, Motohashi-san, who took Introduction to Inclusive Smart Society I, and ISS Program staff talk about how international collaborative learning is made possible through JV-Campus.
Please take a look at the video—even though it’s all in Japanese!
