My visit to Tsukuba with a small OSU cohort was an incredibly rich and meaningful experience. Although this was my second time in Japan and not my first time visiting a campus, it was my first opportunity to directly engage with university students in Japan. Through various activities, I was able to meet and interact with many Japanese students, which made the experience especially valuable.
One of the most significant aspects of this trip was the chance to return to Japan after seven months and actively practice my Japanese in a real-life environment. Compared to my previous visit, I can clearly see my improvement, although I also recognize that I still have much to learn.
The program covered a wide range of fields, including robotics, sports, and space, allowing me to broaden my perspective across disciplines. The schedule was very full, with both on-campus and off-campus activities. In addition to the University of Tsukuba, I also visited both Tsukuba and Tokyo, gaining a deeper understanding of different urban environments in Japan.
Overall, this experience allowed me to immerse myself in Japanese culture and daily life in a meaningful way, making it both academically enriching and personally impactful.
