Introduction to Inclusive Smart Society I (2025)①

During the short period of time I was in the ISSI course I have learned many things.

I have learned that technology shouldn’t only be developed for efficiency or wealth, but allow even those with differences to do things the rest of us take for granted.

With the new technologies we develop we can help those who aren’t as privileged whether in physical ability, mental ability, income, or other factors.

Even if we come from different backgrounds we can help each other out and allow the world to be more inclusive and have more accessible technologies.

My mindset has changed throughout the course of ISSI.

After listening to the professors talk I started thinking more and more about how things around my community could change for a more inclusive environment.

Not only the software we use everyday but also the architecture and design of my community.

Additionally, the professors have inspired me to speak to others about ways to improve my community and make it more accessible to those who need some extra assistance.

I am hoping by discussing it with others around me, they see more ways to improve the community than I could alone and help change the community to be more inclusive.
